Applications:
Hydrofluoric acid is used for manufacture of refrigerants.
For the manufacture of organic and inorganic fluorine compounds.
In metal working, hydrofluoric acid is used as a pickling agent to remove oxides and other impurities from stainless steel and carbon steels.
It is used in the extraction, processing and refining of metals, rock, brick and oil. It is used to remove and inhibit rust, polish and frost glass. It is used in the manufacture of silicon semiconductor chips.
It is used as a catalyst in petrochemical industry for alkylation.
