Applications:
Used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, lacquers, certain polymers and resins.
As a precursor to N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (6PPD), an antiozonant used in tires.
It is used in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical industries. As a solvent in paints, lacquers, varnishes and adhesives.
