Applications:
Applications:
Nitrobenzene is mainly used in the production of aniline; is precursor to urethane polymers, rubber chemicals, pesticides, dyes, explosives and pharmaceuticals.
It is used in shoe and floor polishes, leather dressing, paint solvents to mask unpleasant odors.
In pharmaceutical industry, nitrobenzene is used in the production of the analgesic acetaminophen. As an additive for high press lubricants.
In the manufacture of dyes and dye intermediates like m-nitrochloro benzene, m-Di-nitro benzene, metanilic acid, quinoline, etc.
Used as a chemical intermediate for the synthesis of p-aminophenol, m-chloronitrobenzene, 3,3’-diaminodiphenyl sulfone, hydrazobezene, etc. Used in the production of isocyanates, pesticides, rubber, etc.
