Applications:
Phosphoric acid is used for making activated carbon. It is used as a pH adjuster in cosmetics and skin-care products.
As a sanitizing agent in the dairy, food and brewing industries. In the manufacture of superphosphates for fertilizers, other phosphate salts, detergent, etc.
In gelatine manufacture, in lakes in cotton dyeing, soil stabilizer, waxes and polishes, binder for ceramics, etc.
It is widely used as an acidifying agent in a variety of pharmaceutical formulations. It is used in pharmaceutical products as part of buffer system when combined with a phosphate salt such as sodium phosphate, monobasic, etc.
Used in sugar refining, metal anodising, edible oil refining, detergents and cleaners.
